WHEN GOD MAKES A PROMISE!

Greetings,

when God makes a promise do you believe? What if that promise appears not to be truth? What if you had to wait like Noah 120 years building an Ark to save himself, his family members and the animals from the flood waters of judgement from God? Yes one hundred and twenty years. How about Abraham who waited 25 years for a son (an heir) to make a nation. What about the children of Isreal who waited for their deliverer to free them from bondage while in bondage in Egypt over 400 years? Yes over four hundred years. Jesus the promise Messiah since the beginning of mankind (before man started procreating) man waited on the promise for a savior thousand, hundred of years before fulfillment? The promises of God will be fulfilled. No matter how long the wait we can see that God will do just what he said when he makes a promise. What ever promises God gives to you believe and you shall receive. God's promises are YEA and AMEN! IT SHALL SPEAK. GOD IS NOT A MAN THAT SHALL LIE. ONLY BELIEVE!

Answers!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings,

Being a member on the website Fabulously 40 (a website for woman 40 and over) I asked "What is your definition of a healthy cookie?" Here are some of the Answers I received back:

1) The kind that you make at home with butter, egg, brown sugar, salt, vanilla and baking soda. Why? Because you know what you put in and how much you put in. If you eat10 of then in a day, you can't blame the cookie.

2) Like fresh bread...a healthy cookie will be made of all natural ingredients. No preservatives, fresh butter (no oil), pure chocolate, pure vanilla extract and even aluminum free baking powder (yes aluminum baking powder is out there and who wants that in a cookie!).

3) Lower in sugar and fat, natural whole ingredients.

4) A hot chocolate chip cookie. WITH MILK! ha ha There's my healthy

5) No salt, no sugar, no trans fat, etc. but taste like having them.

6) I want no artificial flavors. No preservatives, no unknown chemical additives. I'm allergic to so much of that stuff. Just stick to the basic ingredients, preferably organic, but of course that raises the price significantly. Also look at some gluten free options. More and more people are eating gluten free and if you are going into the cookie business, you need some gluten free cookies for them.

7) I can't wait to see what you come up with! I love cookies, and if I could find one that was guilt free, that would be awesome!

8) Like Tulip, I like cookies(and all food) with no preservatives and no chemicals. Homemade cookies made from scratch with natural, organic ingredients taste the best. Store bought cookies and prepared cookie doughs always have a chemical aftertaste to me. I don't think cookies have to be too healthy, though as far as fat and sugar goes. They are a treat, after all.

I thank all the woman who participated in giving their answers and honest opinions. Natural Ingredients win hands down!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Many still want that home made goodness and taste.

Up, Up And Away!!!!!!!!!! Hab2:3

Greetings,

Up, up and away I go. I remember these words as a child playing when I or one of my siblings pretended to take off flying in the air. I had a niece who was born with a very bad heart condition. Her name was Toya. Toya had a balloon and she loved this balloon. What Toya didn't know was if she didn't hold on tight to the balloon string that the balloon will go up, up and away. Toya would ask every day (until the day of her death)"Do Jesus have my balloon"? Toya was 3 years old at the time and died soon after her balloon went up, up and away. This is how I feel today about my business goal. Up, up and away into the hands of Jesus. I put my business on RaiseCapital.com and Twitter websites. My vision is climbing and I can see it reaching high. RaiseCapital.com is a website for start-ups and businesses to display business ideas and connect with investors. This is a website where investors can look and connect with businesses for opportunities to invest in and entrepreneurs can meet other entrepreneurs. I'm happy about this leading. I will leave the results to God who I believe and trust in. With God I'm up, up and away with a vision and eagle's wings! Isa40:13, Hab2:3 For the vision (is) yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak and not lie. Though it tarry wait for it. Because it will surely come. It will not tarry.

Customer Service

Greetings,
I am surprised when I go into a store browsing (looking to make a purchase), and I finally get to the buying decision of making a purchase and find POOR customer service. It surprises me because I can't believe that many owners would risk loosing a customer due to their employee's POOR service. I find that many people don't put aside personal preferences, attitudes, feelings, to do their jobs. Jobs that they were employed to do! Do we as customer's deserve such rude and poor attitudes of these employees who are having a bad day or lack manners and integrity. Do they not care about their jobs. I remember a time when having a poor attitude on the job cost you your job. Poor manners has become a welcoming mat. I've decided that when I'm open for business that top customer service will be a priority and a pleasure. The customer is to be respected, heard, given attention, treated with warmth and compassion. I will remember when dealing with my customer's how not to treat them. I will remember that I'm doing a service and that I am to serve. Serving is a ministry. The greatest man that ever walked this earth was a servant. Jesus came to serve and not to be served to. I believe that this can be applied even in the work place especially for Christian believers. We are to make a difference even in the work place to show the love of God. Christian believers lets show real customer service and put back the difference in the work place. Showing true customer service!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greatness Can Emerge From A Slump!

Greetings,
Today some of America's sharpest entrepreneurs success stories are so profound. These entrepreneurs started businesses and companies during a slump economy, but grew to be great businesses and companies today. The entrepreneurs of old paved a path for upcoming entrepreneurs today. Great businesses can be built during tough times. In 1939 at the tail end of the Great Depression Hewlett-Packard was created. During the 1957 recession Digital Equipment challenge IBM sparking a high-tech boom in Massachusetts. Sillicon Valley was largely created during the mid 1970 recession, also Atari(video games), Apple(personal computers), Genentech(biotechnology DNA). Mitch Kapor during the early 1980s (another recession), saw an opportunity to create software tools for personal computers that would help businesses be more productive. In 1982 he (Mitch Kapor) founded his own company called Lotus. In 1983 ( the full year) Lotus sold $53 million in software. Also, a recent article by Rhonda Abrams in the USA Today noted 16 of the 30 companies that make up the Dow Industrial Average was started during a recession or depression. Procter&Gamble, Disney, Alcoa, McDonald's, General Electric and Johnson&Johnson are some of the names that became great companies out of a slump economy. I will name a few more businesses that started and grew profitable out of a slump economy, Super Cuts, Cable Vision, Famous Amos Cookies, Oakley, Chili's and Microsoft. As I read and write this is reminding me how God can take a lump and slump of clay (no matter how bad it look), then turn it into something great. God is the original creator. If man can create then how much more can God create and bring into fulfillment his promises. All I'm doing is being his (God's) assistant. In other words "Greatness Can Emerge From A Slump"!! What great things has God done for you? Share it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The People Behind The Food

Greetings,

The Hartman Group did a report on emerging trends for the year ahead (2009). High quality topping it's predictions, despite economic uncertainty. This report states that consumers will become more interested in foods that seem less mass-produced and higher quality ingredients. There is a gradual shift of communities, families that are (people behind the food) increasingly important as the food itself when it comes to healthy, high quality eating experiences. Consumers will continue to focus on fresh, local, quality products even if they are feeling the economic pinch. Consumers will move towards a celebration of food, healthy eating and better awareness of over all eating. While consumer's taste and preference are evolving in the direction of high quality The Hartman Group do not expect such evolution to be derailed by the economic tumult. People are dining out less, therefore people will have more interest in prepared foods. I am excited about "The People Behind The Food", because it is these people that I will be a servant to. I am looking forward to serving you High Quality Cookies with taste and flavor that you desire to awaken your palate. It blows my mind to think how God has given me such a wonderful market to enter in. It will fulfill my inner-most desire to cater to your pleasure, comfort, and satisfaction for high quality food. Let your voice be heard. Tell me (The People Behind The Food)what is your "High Quality"?

Day 13, Cookie History "little Cake"

Greetings,

The word cookie derives from the Dutch word "Koekje", meaning little cake. Little cake date back to the 5Th century Persia (Now Iran), in United States and Canada it's a small flat cake. In England most English speaking countries outside North America the word biscuit is used. Little cakes came over with the first ships to New Amsterdam, it never went home, Cookies are as American as apple pie. We have recipes from the French, English, Germans, Austrians of the 14TH century. The Germans and Austrians bake some of the greatest cookies of all using ginger, cumin, poppy seed, and nutmeg since medieval times. But England became the heart land of the biscuit in the 19TH century and becane the natural partner of the English cup of tea. England biscuits "little cake" are plain and delicately flavored cakes baked to a crisp texture and since 1870 has been sold in hundreds of mixtures and shapes. Many other countries have strong traditions of making and baking little cakes Chinese, Spanish, Portuguese, Mexican, Italian, Caribbean to name a few. The American cookie (it's name Dutch) texture is more cakey than its England sisters, strong flavors with a heavy emphasis on chocolate and various nuts making it a chewy satisfying mouthful experience. American cookies are made in every region, state, town, and city. COOKIES (like the American apple pie) an American way.

Day Eight, ENCOURAGE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greetings,

I was reading an article on a man name Peyton R. Patterson, he comments on what to do to fix the economy. His answer,"to strongly promote the growth of small businesses across the state. Small businesses are the life blood of our economy. They are our leading producer of new jobs, most extra ordinary innovators, and people with big ideas. Connecticut is a state of small businesses with more than 150,000 which represents approximately 95% of the total number of companies in the state". His last statement "we need to make Connecticut a destination for small businesses, a place where great companies grow and where seeds of an idea can flourish. Nothing drives an economy better than that". After reading his comments and answer, I am encourage to continue on "A Journey To My Vision". What do you think about this amazing article? Share your thoughts with me.

Day three A GIFT FROM GOD!

Greetings!

Today I will share how I created my own recipe. A friend of mine used to bake this wonderful pound cake using self rising flour.I asked for the recipe and began to bake the cake myself. I started sharing the cake with my family members and friends. They loved it. A member of my church said " self rising flour should not be used in a cake recipe.Only poor people use self rising flour". It was this statement that started me on my journey. I decided to convert the recipe over to using all purpose flour instead of using the self rising flour in the recipe. I began to study each ingredient to get an understanding of what purpose each ingredient role was in the recipe and how they are to worked together to produce a cake. While I was doing this God gave my son a dream. In the dream I was mixing the ingredients together and when the ingredients came together it formed cookies. Soon after my son's dream became real. I realized I have created a cookie recipe of my own. Big dreams can come from something borrowed. Share your thoughts. Your comments are WELCOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Second day of my journey

Greetings,

Today, I'm sharing information to educate on the specialty food industry. The specialty food industry is a large segment accounting for 83% of the $3.72 trillion in US retail sales. Gourmet specialty foods are selling at a much faster rate than the overall retail food industry. The gourmet industry has surged 10.9% to $59.0 billion in 2007 and has an annual growth of 11.1%; therefore, by 2012 the food industry will grow to be $195 billion. Research reveals consumers are cutting back, but yet are unwilling to compromise on quality. Consumers still want quality, taste and flavor. Since fresh ingredients are only used in my recipe these specialty gourmet cookies gives consumers what they want in a gourmet cookie. Quality, taste and flavor!

Wow, what an industry! I've got a bright endless future full of growth and possibilities. Share your thoughts . . .

My first day

Greetings,

Today is one of the most exciting days of my life. I am so happy in Jesus! I am very encouraged in what God has given me to do. God has given me the help that I need and desire. He has given me a friend name Karen M. Pina. God used her to help me with my journey to my God-given vision. I set up my blog today with the help of Karen.

I hope that you will join me in A Journey to My Vision. I will be posting regularly to update you on my progress. I encourage you to get involved by commenting and if led to invest in the vision. My prayer is that this blog will inspire, encourage, and motivate you to pursue your God-given vision despite all odds. Because that is exactly what I'm doing. Occasionally, I will educate you on the gourmet specialty food industry.

Stay tuned . . .
