Greatness Can Emerge From A Slump!

Greetings,
Today some of America's sharpest entrepreneurs success stories are so profound. These entrepreneurs started businesses and companies during a slump economy, but grew to be great businesses and companies today. The entrepreneurs of old paved a path for upcoming entrepreneurs today. Great businesses can be built during tough times. In 1939 at the tail end of the Great Depression Hewlett-Packard was created. During the 1957 recession Digital Equipment challenge IBM sparking a high-tech boom in Massachusetts. Sillicon Valley was largely created during the mid 1970 recession, also Atari(video games), Apple(personal computers), Genentech(biotechnology DNA). Mitch Kapor during the early 1980s (another recession), saw an opportunity to create software tools for personal computers that would help businesses be more productive. In 1982 he (Mitch Kapor) founded his own company called Lotus. In 1983 ( the full year) Lotus sold $53 million in software. Also, a recent article by Rhonda Abrams in the USA Today noted 16 of the 30 companies that make up the Dow Industrial Average was started during a recession or depression. Procter&Gamble, Disney, Alcoa, McDonald's, General Electric and Johnson&Johnson are some of the names that became great companies out of a slump economy. I will name a few more businesses that started and grew profitable out of a slump economy, Super Cuts, Cable Vision, Famous Amos Cookies, Oakley, Chili's and Microsoft. As I read and write this is reminding me how God can take a lump and slump of clay (no matter how bad it look), then turn it into something great. God is the original creator. If man can create then how much more can God create and bring into fulfillment his promises. All I'm doing is being his (God's) assistant. In other words "Greatness Can Emerge From A Slump"!! What great things has God done for you? Share it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

With Love,
Luke 15:22
GOD BRINGING OUT THE BEST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
